A shared place, clear terms.

The terms for using the free first version of Ourkeeps.

The service and your account

These terms are between you and STEINER AS, organisation number 936 644 503, Fjerdingen 17, 3050 Mjøndalen, Norway, which currently operates Ourkeeps while Ourkeeps AS is being formed. Ourkeeps helps you collect photos and videos in a shared workspace, review people and memories, and make films or slideshows. Contact support@ourkeeps.com for help. Keep your account details accurate, protect your password and use your own account when collaborating.

Free, with shared limits

The first version is free. There is no checkout, subscription charge or automatic conversion to a paid plan. Each workspace can hold up to 20 GiB of original uploads, 5,000 files and 10 hours of video. Owners may set lower limits. The interface uses GB labels for GiB (1 GiB is 1,073,741,824 bytes).

Processing is bounded by a daily AI reservation allowance equivalent to USD 5 per workspace and USD 25 across the service, plus five film-render attempts per workspace per day. These are operating allowances, not money you owe or a cash balance. Failed or uncertain attempts can consume an allowance. The pilot also has shared intake ceilings of 100 GiB and 25,000 items across all workspaces, so capacity may be unavailable even below your workspace limit. Reserved transfers, including cancelled transfers, count towards shared capacity until the workspace is purged.

Limits can delay uploads or processing; they do not guarantee completion in one day or unlimited availability. We will explain material changes to the service or limits. Any future paid offer will require a separate choice before you are charged.

Working together

The collection and its projects belong to the workspace, not the individual uploader. The owner manages invitations, roles and deletion. Editors can add and edit memories and projects; viewers can browse the shared collection. An invitation gives access to the entire workspace. Only invite people who should see all of it.

Your contributions remain in the workspace if you leave or delete your account. Coordinate with the owner before removing shared content. A paired display has limited project access; downloaded files can be shared outside the service and are then outside our access controls.

Your content and other people

You keep the rights you have in your uploads. You give Ourkeeps permission to store, process and display them as needed to provide the service and your chosen sharing, subject to the privacy notice. This does not transfer ownership of your photos or videos to us.

Only upload and share material you are entitled to use. Respect copyright, privacy and the people depicted, especially children. Tell contributors and people in the collection how their information will be used. Do not upload unlawful content, impersonate others, bypass access controls or evade shared limits. Optional face grouping needs appropriate permission from the people affected; an owner’s switch is not consent on everyone’s behalf.

Review before sharing

Automatic descriptions, transcriptions, face matches and stories can be inaccurate. Check names, relationships, facts and the finished result before presenting or distributing it. Ourkeeps is not a source of verified biographical facts. Use music and other third-party material only within the rights you hold.

Leaving and deletion

Active collections remain until the owner deletes the workspace. Workspace deletion removes app access immediately; previously issued download links can remain valid until expiry, including up to 15 minutes for originals. Physical deletion starts after 30 days and proceeds in batches across originals, previews, films and workspace records. This is not an undo period.

Account deletion removes your account and memberships, while shared contributions remain with account attribution removed. Transfer ownership or delete your workspaces before deleting your account. Keep independent copies of irreplaceable originals and download results before deletion. We do not promise permanent free storage or a guaranteed recovery service. The privacy notice explains processor retention and your data rights.

Availability, changes and concerns

During early access, processing may fail or be temporarily unavailable. We may restrict access to address abuse, security threats or legal requirements, and explain the reason where we can lawfully do so. Contact support if you believe a restriction is mistaken.

We will notify you of material changes to these terms or the service, with reasonable notice where practicable. No part of these terms removes mandatory consumer or privacy rights, or limits liability where the law does not allow it. Contact Ourkeeps at support@ourkeeps.com about a concern or dispute.
